Classes for teenagers

Our teen students often tell us that CirQuest is their happy place, where they can forget the stresses of high school and the pressures of daily life and be themselves.  We see it as a privilege and an honour to have a special role in their development as people.

We know that teenagers are seeking opportunities to develop their leadership, to set and accomplish their own goals, and to envision their futures.  We offer mentorships and traineeships in circus teaching, performance development and technical aspects of production that are tailored to each person's needs to support their development.

Term 3 starts July 15 and bookings are open now.

Early Bird Discount available before June 30

Our booking process is flexible and easy to use!  There are Two booking and payment options:

Term fees: This is the cheapest way to pay. Members save 10%* on term fees (Ealy Bird Discount! save a further 5%*  if you book by June 30).

Drop-in classes: NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. Drop-in classes will be available if there are vacancies after July 12.

Either way you choose to book and pay, you can book well in advance knowing that if you can't make it to a class, you won't miss out. Our classes: Term 1 2022

Teens Social Circus

Suitable for beginners to intermediate level, in this class students are encouraged to try all the different acrobatics and aerial skills, supported to develop their own goals, and assisted to self-direct their own learning. This class offers an opportunity to focus on any of a huge variety of circus arts, which include:

  • Acrobatics disciplines (handstands, tumbling, trampoline and acirbatic balances)

  • Aerials (trapeze, silks, and rope)

Teenagers have unique needs, so CirQuest has developed a flexible, inclusive and supportive class for young people which enables them to personalize their lessons, make decisions about their own learning, and cultivate their emerging sense of identity, responsibility and self-actualization.

Performance troupe (by invitation only)

CirQuest's Performing Troupe meet weekly to develop group acts and roving performance skills, which they perform at our in-house productions as well as community events and festivals.  In February 2020 our troupe produced and performed their own original work, CirQuesTV, in the Fringeworld Festival.  We can't wait to see what else they have in store for us this year!

Performance troupe participation is by invitation only and participants must be enrolled in another class for the term.  If you would like to join the performing troupe, have a chat to your teacher.

CirQuest HQ, North Perth
