Classes for teenagers

Our teen students often tell us that CirQuest is their happy place, where they can forget the stresses of high school and the pressures of daily life and be themselves.  We see it as a privilege and an honour to have a special role in their development as people.

We know that teenagers are seeking opportunities to develop their leadership, to set and accomplish their own goals, and to envision their futures.  We offer mentorships and traineeships in circus teaching, performance development and technical aspects of production that are tailored to each person's needs to support their development.

 We've moved!
Our new bigger, higher and better venue is at 50 Goodwood Parade, Burswood.

Term 2 2022 starts April 25 - but you can still join us during term 1!

Our booking process has changed to make it more flexible and easy to use.  There are two booking and payment options:

Drop-in classes: Just book in for any class, and pay at the time you book.

Pre-paid term pass:  Purchase a 10-class pass and save 10%, and then proceed to booking.  You can either book your classes one at a time, or you can make a repeat booking to book for the same class each week for 10 weeks.

Either way you choose to book and pay, you can change or cancel your booking any time.  If you change your booking more than 48 hours before the class starts, you will receive a full refund of the class fee as a credit to use for future bookings.

Before you can purchase a pre-paid term class, you need to become a member. Membership fees assist us with our insurance costs, and also every new member receives a fantastic welcome pack including a free t-shirt!  If you're not a member yet, click here to join (and then you can go ahead and book for the term).

Want to try a class before you book for the term, so you know you're going to love it?
Join us for a drop-in class during term 1  to find out if a class is perfect for you! You don't have to become a member first.

Extend and Advance Acrobatics and Aerials

These classes are for kids whose right way up is upside down, and who have already mastered the foundation skills in acrobatics and aerial arts that are taught in the first four levels of our unique curriculum, in Circus Fun and Socail Circus classes.

Extend and Advance Acrobatics and Aerials includes handstands, tumbling, trampoline and mini-trampoline, partner and group balances, tightwire, trapeze, silks, lyra and rope.  We recommend that students training at this level train twice a week, for optimal learning and safe, sustainable practice.

Performance troupe (by invitation only)

CirQuest's Performing Troupe meet weekly to develop group acts and roving performance skills, which they perform at our in-house productions as well as community events and festivals.  In February 2020 our troupe produced and performed their own original work, CirQuesTV, in the Fringeworld Festival.  We can't wait to see what else they have in store for us this year!

Performance troupe participation is by invitation only and participants must be enrolled in another class for the term.  If you would like to join the performing troupe, have a chat to your teacher.
