Classes for little people
Discover exciting opportunities for young children to explore what their bodies can do, express themselves and connect with friends!
Designed by occupational therapist, Isobel Lyall, our early childhood classes are an excellent first step on the way to formal education. Not only do our classes promote gross motor, fine motor and self-regulation skills, but also build children's pretend play abilities, which are linked to the development of language and literacy.
Our classes are delightful for parents and grandparents too, as we invite you to join in the fun, coach and model for your child, and to enjoy the rich relationships that develop between the children, caregivers and our nurturing teachers.
Term 2 2025 starts April 28.
Book before the end of term 1 to get the Early Bird discount!

Our booking process is flexible and easy to use! There are two booking and payment options:
Term fees: This is the cheapest way to pay, and the best way to make sure your spot is saved!
Drop-in classes are only available if we have capacity. You don't need to contact us to check if there are vacancies, if the class is fully booked you'll be offered the option to join our waiting list so we can contact you if our capacity changes. Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance so that we can plan our lessons to suit the number of children and to meet everyone's individual needs.

If you book for the term, and you miss a class, you can just come to another class any time during the term to make up the class you missed. If you book as a drop-in, you can cancel your booking at least 24 hours before, and receive the fees back as a credit, or change it to another date or even another type of class.

Please don't come without booking first. We sometimes have to cancel classes if they are unsustainable or if our teachers are unwell and if you haven't booked, we won't be able to notify you. We also carefully plan our lessons and we need to know the night before how many children will be there so we can consistently deliver incredivle experiencces for everyone.

BACK FOR 2025: Ready. Set. School!
If your child is starting pre-primary next year, this package offers a perfect preparation. Research evidence shows that the most important skills needed for a successful school start are gross motor skills, communication skills, social skills and self-regulation, and this 2-hour morning of structured activities is specifically designed by occupational therapist Isobel Lyall to promote these skills, and to build the endurance to maintain them over a whole morning. You can also gradually decrease your involvement in the class activities, to foster your child's independence in preparation for being without you for a full school day.

BACK FOR 2025: Let's Get Messy!
Messy play is important for the development of children's sensory processing skills, and is so much fun! Best of all, we can enjoy cleaning up together afterwards. Each week, our occupational therapist Isobel Lyall prepares a different sensory exploration activity for the children to get stuck into. Let's Get Messy is for 18 months-4 year olds.

BACK FOR 2025: Crafternoons!
Crafternoons are a new activity for children aged 3-4 years (who no longer need a sleep during the day!), including all the benefits of sensory play but with a more defined outcome. Over the course of a term of classes, we’ll progress from very simple activities with play-based process and open outcomes, toward following a more structured process to achieve an outcome that is more defined, while still allowing lots of avenues for creative exploration and individual expression.
